resenha: Elasticdeath e Obsesif Kompulsif split CD

Where's the Unity, do Infest.

Além das nove músicas novas eles colocaram também o cover do Hoy Pinoy (Where's is Jollibee).

review: Elasticdeath and Obsesif Kompulsif split CD

One of the many releases envolving the tokusastu hardcore band, Elasticdeath, is out already, and it`s here in Brazil. The split THRASH COMPLEX is with the indonesian Obsesif Kompulsif. The sounding of OxKx resembles a crazy grind, passing throught thrash, between the song there`s a lot of samples. The band has 2 vocals, one more screamed and the other more "dog" vocals. Some of the lyrics are
in indonesian and others in english, they talk about forest and rivers being destroyed, tv ruining our heads, propaganda, taking back your own life and public transportation, and still, there`s a cover of Where`s teh Unity, from Infest.
The last song has a real crazy ending, in a rythim that reminds a videogame soundtrack? I don`t know, hear it and tell me about it. The cd was pressed and the art made by them, you can see it throught the cd artwork, that don`t reminds anything about tokusastu or elasticdeath`s elements, I like specially the cover and the cd artwork, that is a mucho loco skull biting a k7 tape.

Elasticdeath recorded nine new songs for the split which for me that just listen to music and don’t make it it’s an industrial production. That’s why I listen to music and don’t do it!
Besides the nine new songs they put the Hoy Pinoy’s cover “Wjre’s is Jolibee”. The destruction of nature it’s a recurring theme in the lyrics because they spent a lot of time in Itatiaia’s and Penedo’s waterfall (two cities that are beautiful and full of cold water and bug rocks) they so them be wasted, deprecated and modified by men’s modification and interests. I like the lyric of “My hipocrisy doesn't work on Holiday”, that talks exactly about relatives and people that all year long don’t give a crap about you and when is socially suitable they are there and are loveable and you can count on then. Just cut the crap, and keeps on avoiding us because a damn holiday won’t change a thing. Won’t make it any better.
Their music sound like the first California wave of power violence bands and they play fast and they mean to do and do it because they want and have to, it’s fast music to long feelings. So if you don’t know they yet you really should spent one and a half minute to know and after more time to enjoy them.
It’s funny that these guys remind me why I like fastcore. When I was starting to get to know this punk thing I spent almost every time to listen to fastcore bands like Discarga, I Shot Cyrus, WxHxNx, Infest, DS 13, Fubar, Yacopsae and much more. I could’nt stand to listen heavy metal or “metalcore” (I don’t believe there’s such thing) It gotta be fast, wasn’t any way out. So, after a long time listening to Wipers, Weirdos, Dinosaur Jr, Sleater Kinney, Go Sailor, I understood why I enjoy fastcore. It’s like I said, fast music to long feelings. The cd was released by: Teriak Records (INA), Tarung Records (INA), Suhatkor Records (INA), Sukma Records (Malaysia), Beat The Meat Records (USA), Buddha Khan Records (USA), Punk Anak Mama Records (INA), Lost Cause Records (Russia). In Brazil we have 60 copies, so have this cd, help to spread TOKUSATSU HARDCORE.
